While I was on vacation, I received the first proof of Turtle Turtle Watch Out! I was very happy with the color and am so excited to see the final book!
I can't imagine how exciting this must be for you. What a dream! And your illustrations look brilliant - those little turtles there!!
Hope you had a good trip. That little raccoon is oh so drawable! And I could sit and stare at a lioness for hours. But I don't think I'll be drawing one of them again for a while - too much fur!!

The proofs look wonderful!! I'd forgotten it wasn't out yet, and actually scanned the shelves at the bookstore the other day for it. I swear my brain gets foggier every day.

Wow! Amazing photos from the plane window. Talk about a change of scenes.

I'm so excited for you, Annie. On the opposite corner of the states from you, we in Florida anxiously await the debut and I'll definitely be touting it on my blog! The color is beautiful, but lighter (and more magical) than the original book.
Wish you and the little one could have been here to see our tiny loggerhead sea turtle hatchlings emerging one night. She would have really enjoyed it.
