I painted this watercolor for my blog friend DJ, otherwise known as Barrier Island Girl, who shared with me her baby sea turtle photos when I was knee deep in illustrating Turtle Turtle Watch Out! I painted this from one of her gorgeous Florida beach photos. I'd like to be running toward that umbrella, with a beach bag full of books, sketchbook, watercolors, and a picnic! Actual size is 5 x 7 inches.

This is great! watercolor is really tough to use, but you made it look outstanding. I tend to shy away from it a bit. Maybe one day I'll get back to it. good job!

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like yoou wrote the bok in it or something. I think thaat you coulld do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is magnificent blog. A fantastic read. I'll definitely be back.
